MVP/BUZZ:

The original Pedulla design, neck-thru, gloss polyester finish, choice of pickups: SB/PJ/JJ (Buzz is the fretless version).  Standard with NTMB electronics: Active tone system with independent bass and treble controls plus midrange control.

THUNDERBASS (T):

Sleeker, more modern shape; neck-thru-body construction; gloss polyester finish; soapbar pickups.

ET THUNDERBASS (ET):

Thunderbass with Bubinga, Cocobola, Zebra, AAA or Quilted maple top with oil/urethane.

THUNDERBOLT (TB):

Bolt-on-neck version of the Thunderbass; polyester finish on body; satin neck; soapbar pickups.

ET THUNDERBOLT (ETB):

Thunderbolt with Bubinga, Cocobola, Zebra, AAA or Quilted maple top with oil/urethane.

RAPTURE BASS (RB):

Modern Vintage design; Bolt-on neck; Pearloid/Tortoiseshell pickguards (depends on bass color); satin neck; chrome hardware.  Available with single soapbar pickup (SB), PJ, or JJ pickups.

RAPTURE RBT AA/AAA:

Rapture bass with AA or AAA flame maple top, 5A birdseye maple fingerboard, choice of PJ or JJ pickup configurations, choice of hardware color: black, chrome, or gold.

T, ET, TB, ETB, and all RAPTURES

are all standard with TBT electronics:  Active tone system with independent bass and treble controls to boost or cut 15dB.

PERSONAL CREATIONS:

Limited production bass guitars made with unique woods, colors, and combinations which are not available in our standard line. Created by Michael Pedulla, these basses are signed and numbered and come with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

Why are the Thunderbolt and Rapture Bass so much less expensive than our other models?

One reason:  Since they have bolt-on necks (instead of the neck-through-body construction of our other models) they are less time consuming, and therefore less expensive, to make. We pass along the savings to you.   =)

We offer the Rapture and Thunderbolt as two distinctly different sounding models than our neck-through-body basses.  They are for those players seeking a more “traditional” sound, which is only achieved with a bolt-on method of construction.  They are rich in overtones, with a more compressed sound.  The neck-through-body models (where all of the sound producing parts are on a continuous piece of wood) have a stronger fundamental, more high and low end, quicker attack, slower decay, and more sustain.  Of course the ingredients (design, construction, woods, hardware, and electronics) will determine the voice of the either instrument.
